Educational Support Programme

VoS have recently launched their educational support programme by introducing a ‘teaching and learning’ strategies programme to give support and advice to teachers on how to use different teaching methods to engage students in their learning. Vos is also providing schools with essential school supplies and stationery to help the students learn.
VoS has extended its educational support to include sponsorship of uniform and educational supplies for individual children who are in need.
VoS also recognises the need for building children’s self esteem and confidence in an informal education setting. It delivers art, music, sports and games workshops and enables children to express themselves in a flexible and creative way.
Informal education allows children to learn at their own pace in a less structured environment and in a way that they prefer. It is a known fact that we learn when we are engaged and interested in a topic. A child is more willing to share their knowledge and gains confidence from knowing that this knowledge is valuable to others.
There are high illiteracy levels in Nepal’s communities and VoS believes that educating our children and adults is the key to solving many of the nation’s and world’s socio-economic problems.
